Melanie Straughan

 Melanie Straughan is a Financial Advisor and team member of Vista Wealth Partners in Dallas, Texas. Melanie started her career in financial services with Equitable Advisors in 2019 where she began building her practice of valued client relationships. Melanie worked with multiple groups within Equitable to service a wide variety of individual and business clients. While doing so, she also recruited and mentored newly tenured advisors. In 2022 Melanie moved to Fidelity as an advisor until joining the Vista Wealth team in 2026. 

In her current capacity, Melanie is a goals-based Financial Advisor, who works with a select group of successful families and businesses. Melanie pursues bringing order and financial freedom to her clients by assisting them with all aspects of their wealth management so that they always have the complete picture.

Melanie works alongside a team of partners and staff to provide her clients with comprehensive wealth management services encompassing retirement planning, investment strategies, and legacy planning.

An alumnus of the University of Oklahoma, Melanie graduated with dual degrees in Marketing and Entrepreneurship & Venture Management. She has her life and health insurance licenses as well as the following NASD registrations: Series 7, Series 63 and Series 65. 

Melanie is happily married to her husband Mason, and mother to their daughter Parker. Although Melanie is originally from New Orleans she has been happy to call Frisco home for the past 25 years. Melanie and her family are members of Genesis Metro Church in Frisco and proud supporters of Action International Ministries.
